What is Lip Filler?
Lip fillers are one of the most popular cosmetic procedures and types of dermal fillers we offer. They work by increasing your lip volume with just a few simple injections. Most fillers for lip augmentation are made up of hyaluronic acid (HA fillers), which works to attract and bind moisture to the treatment area, enhancing the volume of the lips and addressing lip lines, giving you the luscious pout you’re looking for.
Some of the most common types of FDA-approved hyaluronic acid fillers that we offer at Sanctuary Cosmetic Center include Juvederm and Restylane.

Am I a Good Candidate for Lip Injectable Fillers?
Most of our patients who are struggling with volume loss, lip lines, or thin lips that aren’t proportionate with the rest of their face are good candidates for lip fillers. On top of that, you should also be in good overall health, have realistic expectations of treatment, not have any active infections, and not be pregnant or breastfeeding. To determine if this is the right treatment for you, you’ll first want to schedule a consultation.

The Lip Filler Procedure
Our lip filler procedure could not be more straightforward. To start off, we’ll cleanse the treatment area and apply a topical anesthetic to ensure you’re comfortable. From there, Dr. Rostami will use a very thin needle to inject the appropriate lip filler formula into different areas of your lower and/or upper lips. How many injections you need will depend on the results you’re looking for, but treatment shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes.
OUR STATE-OF-THE-ART SURGICAL FACILITY
Our private, accredited surgical facility offers you the opportunity for a comfortable, private experience with your procedure. You don’t need to worry about going to the hospital – instead, you can enjoy the amenities of our spa-like environment while you focus on yourself.
Lip Filler Results
After your injections, Dr. Rostami may gently massage your lips and apply ice to reduce any possible swelling. She will also give you detailed instructions on how to take care of your lips as they heal and the fillers settle. You may have some swelling, bruising, and tenderness, but these side effects will dissipate within a few days.
You’ll want to avoid wearing lipstick and other lip products for at least 24 hours and refrain from touching, picking, or putting pressure on the lips. Avoiding exercise for 24 hours and drinking plenty of water is also recommended.
As for results, you will notice initial improvements immediately, but it can take up to a week before your fillers settle and you see the final results.
