What is Botox & Dysport?

Botox and Dysport in Northern Virginia are incredibly popular options, and cosmetic surgeons consistently find new uses and applications for injections. It’s a very versatile and low-hassle way to look younger and achieve a variety of cosmetic goals besides smoothing wrinkles.

While this might seem like an obscure benefit, it actually makes perfect sense. Botox is, fundamentally, a neurotoxin. Botox treatments are known for being quick and easy. With a small pinch and 15 minutes of your time, you can resume your schedule as normal afterward. However, there are other benefits. The Botox & Dysport Procedure
One of the primary benefits of Botox and Dysport procedures is their speed. Most sessions, for example, last less than 15 minutes. These injections have earned their rightful reputation as a “lunch break facelift,” meaning you could come in for your injections and return to the office with no one any wiser.
First, Dr. Rostami will select which sites require injection to achieve your desired effect. Most patients don’t experience any pain from the injections, describing it as more of a “pinching” sensation. The injections are administered relatively quickly, and once they are complete, your instructions are to avoid laying flat or participating in vigorous exercise for 4 hours. This will prevent the product from traveling and optimize its effect.
Botox & Dysport Results
There is very little recovery from Botox and Dysport injections. You may notice redness at the injection site immediately afterward – however, the redness subsides within minutes. Bruising, although rare and small, may occur after the injection and generally resolves within a few days. The final results are typically noticed 5-7 days after initial treatment. Your smoother and more youthful-looking skin will last four to six months. If you like your results, you can come in for regular maintenance injections to keep wrinkles and lines at bay.
