The Under-Eye Dermal Filler Treatment
The under-eye filler procedure is relatively simple. Your provider will start by cleansing the treatment area. If needed, we can also apply a topical anesthetic for your comfort. That said, most patients don’t need any numbing agent. From there, we’ll mark the injection sites and use a thin needle to inject the under-eye filler formula under the skin. How many injections you need will depend on the results you’re looking for.
Under-Eye Filler Results
After your under-eye filler treatment, you will likely experience some redness and swelling, but those side effects will subside within a day or two. You will want to avoid putting pressure on the treatment area, drinking alcohol, applying makeup around the eye area, and performing any strenuous activities. Beyond that, you will be able to go back to most of your normal activities.
As for results, you will see improvements immediately, but it can take up to four weeks for the fillers to fully settle into place. Results can last up to a year, and re-treatment is necessary to maintain your results.
